Nike Spins-Up a "Spider-Man" Air Max Plus 3
The buzz is palpable with the much-anticipated premiere of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse just around the corner. This excitement is not lost on the team at Nike, who seems to be channeling their inner comic book enthusiasm into their latest footwear offerings. Following their impressive collaboration on an Air Jordan 1, they've crafted a range of colorways, drawing apparent inspiration from everyone's favorite web-slinging superhero. One standout in this lineup is the Air Max Plus 3, which resembles Miles Morales' iconic suit.
This new Nike Air Max Plus 3 iteration, like the costume of our young Spider-Man, is swathed predominantly in black. This dark, understated hue takes over the shoe, from the breathable mesh base to the intricate TPU detailing and the robust sole unit. Yet the red and blue accents truly shine, popping up on the side and heel to effectively replicate the distinctive shading and decals that light up the screen whenever Morales springs into action.
Moreover, this Air Max Plus design seems to echo the aesthetic of a recently previewed Air Max Plus. The latter features a similar black base, with blue and red accents, further aligning it with the Spider-Verse theme and solidifying Nike's nod to the superhero franchise.
Get a sneak peek at the Air Max Plus 3’s remarkable tribute to the Spider-Verse below, and although the official release date is yet to be announced, we anticipate that it won't be long before this dynamic pair hits Nike.com and selected retailers.
