Balmy Summer nights at the carnival as a kid — there was nothing quite like it. Aside from the creepy, small-handed carny-folk, the rides, the sideshows, the food, and the atmosphere have got this guy a little reminiscent about his childhood. Cotton candy and shaved ice always filled my gut when the festival rolled into town, and now that I have kids, it does once again. I can’t help get a little tingly when I see this pair — Nike‘s latest rendition of the Air Max Plus — which seemingly draws its inspiration from carnival candy.

It’s mesh underlay the feature, forming a toe to tail gradient of orange, pink, blue and white, encased entirely in a white cage and white leather overlays. Also in white is the sneaker’s midsole, which comes wrapped in a black rubber outsole. The color does continue underfoot, with the quartet of colors placed under the heel, as well as the midfoot shank and traction pads lending themselves to vibrant hues.
