The Air Max Plus Appears in a Bright Blue and Black Arrangement

While the Nike Air Max Plus consistently delivers some of the most modern colorways and designs within the Nike Sportswear range, it also pays homage to its own roots with equal dedication. From numerous Tiger-inspired editions to this latest Blue and Black colorway that ostensibly celebrates the original "Hyper Blue," the Air Max Plus simultaneously looks to the past and the future.

The design opts for a significantly lighter palette on the mesh, and a heftier use of black underfoot. The OG's yellow is omitted, but you can still see how Sean McDowell's original design shines through.

In this tribute, the pair transitions the "Hyper" blue to a "University" shade, with more focus on the fade to white across the toe; that is then replicated again on the midfoot shank. A striking silver Swoosh sits at the midfoot, which marries up to the 3M reflective mudguards and tongue tips. Bright blue Air supports peer out from an all-black sole unit underfoot, with classic TN branding at the heel and undercarriage completing the design.

Although the official launch date for this new Air Max Plus remains uncertain, anticipate its arrival at select retailers and Nike.com in the upcoming months.
