Nike Puts a Spidey Spin on the Air Max Plus

Sean McDowell’s Air Max Plus is seeing a continued effort to boost its stocks for the spring/summer season. It's latest, a kids-exclusive colorway that ushers in a timely Spider-Man vibe, with the franchise's new animated film set to hit theaters in June.

Though it's not officially licensed by Marvel, the combination of black, red, white, and blue screams an ode to Spidey — Peter and Miles.

For the most part, the pair is familiar; It brings an all-black base and pairs it with gradient vein overlays of royal and red, with midfoot shanks to match. What they do differently here, though, is add an extra layer of depth to the upper through airbrushed streaks that marry up with the overlay’s natural lines. Like Spidey's eyes, a simple white Swoosh sits at the midfoot, while staple TN branding at the heel completes the design.

Early details on the pair's release have identified an August 2nd release on Nike.com
