The Air Max Plus Gets a "Black Grape" Makeover

The Nike Air Max Plus is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, and while we may need to be patient for some original retros, enthusiasts of the Sean McDowell-crafted silhouette have been relishing a bountiful array of new color schemes to make up for it. The upcoming release has a touch of nostalgia, as it borrows the iconic "Black Grape" colorway and infuses it into the distinctive features of the silhouette.

The mesh foundation of the sneaker showcases a gradient that seamlessly shifts from white to various shades of purple as it extends away from the tongue. The rest of the sneaker maintains a relatively simple aesthetic, with a predominantly black finish. A crisp white EVA foam midsole provides contrast, while purple midfoot shanks create a connection to the color tones above. Lastly, a splash of teal on the midfoot Swoosh, tongue tab, and Air support elements brings the classic color palette to completion.
