"Sanded Purple" Lands on the Nike Air Max Plus

Sean McDowell's Nike Air Max Plus design continues to form part of the Swoosh's roster of products, even after 27 years. Ahead of summer, the sneaker emerged in a new "Phantom/Sanded Purple" color scheme.

As is customary for the Tuned Air pioneer, a gradient presents the aforementioned tones across the mixed-materials upper. The breathable mesh base sets the stage for shades of "Sanded Purple" that animate palm tree-inspired TPU overlays and the layered mudguards. The whale tail-shaped shank underfoot and running-informed outsole further indulge in soft purple flair, while remaining components opt for off-white hues that complement the summer-friendly color well.
