The Nike Air Max Portal Debuts Summer 2024

Nike is diving deep into its archives, revisiting the late 1990s and early 2000s with its "Cult Classics" initiative, revitalizing models like the Air Max Sunder and Clogposite. However, innovation doesn't stop in retros; Nike has also introduced fresh designs that echo the spirit of the Y2K era this year, including the Air Max DN and the all-new Air Max Portal, a women's exclusive lifestyle sneaker set to debut in the Summer 2024 season.

Crafted specifically for a modern, feminine aesthetic, the Air Max Portal features a robust build with a thick midsole and visible Air Max units at the heel, delivering comfort and a hint of nostalgia. The upper combines sport mesh and synthetic leather mudguards that envelop the shoe, curving elegantly at the heel. This design is punctuated by smaller, strategically placed Swoosh branding on the mid-foot and tongue, reminiscent of late 90s styles.

Adding to its unique appeal, the midsole's forefoot incorporates distinctive molding details similar to those seen on the soon-to-be-reintroduced Air Max Sunder, blending heritage vibes with contemporary flair.

The Air Max Portal is poised to launch soon — the Black/White will debut first on Nike.com on July 8th — with an attractive price of $110 per pair.
