Nike’s 2023 Chinese New Year collection is growing by the day, with the newest release appearing today by way of official Nike.com imagery, the Nike Air Max Scorpion “CNY”

Though we’ve seen some audacious finishes in the series thus far — like the Nike Dunk Low and Blazer Mid — the Swoosh has given the Scorpion a simple scheme; Rightfully so, given the pair’s daring design. The pair is anchored in a white mesh weave that works in both fluffy elements to honor the Rabbit and traditional Chinese floral motifs, while pops of red and jade give a more obvious callout to the Eastern nation. Bold black Swooshes at the midfoot are designed to be in-line with the pack’s styling, so too is the pair’s midfoot marble clip and tongue/insole branding. All of this rests atop a milky-white sole unit, complete with red supports underfoot.

A release for the Nike Air Max Scorpion “CNY” is currently scheduled to arrive in January 2023, though specifics are currently unknown.
