Chris Webber’s Nike Air Max Sensation Rumored to Return in 2020

Just a few weeks ago, we brought the mid-90s Air Max Sensation to the Concept lab for an Air Max 95 “Neon” makeover. Maybe we knew something — or maybe it’s pure coincidence — but now, the former number 1 draft pick and Michigan Fab Five alumni Chris Webber’s first Nike signature sneaker has been rumored to return in 2020.

The silhouette has been re-released numerous times in colorways both new and OG — with Nike going especially hard in 2015, the sneaker’s 20th Anniversary year, and now just four years on, rumors of its return are flying around Instagram. But the big question on everyone’s lips is whether or not the retro will include Chris Webber’s logo on the heels. CWebb’s ongoing beef with Nike started when his debut Nike Air Max CW Sensation retailed for more than Mike’s model at the time — and C Webb did not like that. He left the Swoosh, signing signature shoes from both FILA and DaDa, and also rocking out in Converse, Reebok, and AND1s over the remainder of his career.

While details are still to be confirmed, we’re hoping that this Washington colorway (below) sees a retro release — it’s been way too long. Stay tuned for more.
