'Silver' Uppers Land on the Women's Nike Air Max Sunder

The Nike Air Max Sunder continues to explore different color combinations and materials. For its latest Womens'-exclusive look, the retro model has taken on a 'Silver/Anthracite' makeover.

Having debuted in 1999, the rugged Air Max offering had been kept in the vault for decades. Monochromatic styles by COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS in July 2022 teased longtime fans of the Nike Alpha Project design, only amplifying the desire for a proper reissue of the sneaker. The last six months have seen the silhouette return to original form, donning a healthy mix of heritage and modern finishes.

The latest Air Max Sunder to emerge keeps its iconic color-blocking and construction from '99 intact. Cool 'Silver' replaces vibrant 'Volt' and other tones, working in-tandem with 'Black/Anthracite' mudguards for a clean look. The visible Air-cushioning and its surrounding foam midsole keep things simple and straightforward. Mx Air-badges on the innovative outsole introduce light blue flair into the mix. Lastly, the sneaker's upper shines under the right lighting conditions.
