Though it’s not officially owned by Jordan Brand, there’s an unwritten law that any White, Black, and Metallic Gold sneaker is dubbed the “GMP” — a reference to 2012’s Air Jordan Golden Moments Pack, a 20th anniversary of the Dream Team/Championship 1992 season. Since then, any and all colorways sporting the mix evokes an instant recognition to the famed collection, as does this upcoming Air Max Tailwind IV “GMP”. Like the 2012 pack, this pair arrives in the trio of pigments, with a black mesh base/white mesh collar overlayed by sweeping profile panels in white leather. Beneath those, around the eyelets and toes, you’ll sight a metallic gold finish on the underlying leathers, and again along the midfoot caging, eyelets, and in the rear. Black returns again not only to pipe the aforementioned white leathers but to decorated the midsoles, before crisp whites return around the Air windows and rubber outsole. Capping off the design is a pop of white branding at the tongue and forefoot mini Swoosh, a golden Check on the lateral ankle, and metallic gold-painted Air supports.
