Official Images: Nike Air Max Waffle SP "Voltage Purple"

The Nike Air Max Waffle Racer has made a mark this holiday season despite some mixed reactions from the masses, who aren't always fond of bold hybrid models. Nike is pushing forward this year with the Air Max Waffle Racer's third known colorway: the vibrant "Voltage Purple."

The "Voltage Purple" iteration takes inspiration from the original colorway of the two models that combine to create the Waffle Racer, making it a nostalgic tribute to the late '90s. The shoe's upper is dressed in rich purple nylon, evoking the energetic tone seen in those early iterations. Red accents are found on the Swoosh logo and the Air unit at the heel, adding a pop of brightness to the silhouette. Black suede hits at the toe-guard, heel, and lace collar, helping to ground the color palette and tie everything together for a clean, vintage-inspired aesthetic.
