The OG Dad Shoe Goes Down Old Town Road
Nike is giving the OG Dad shoe new duds, with this denim-draped delivery of the Nike Air Monarch that’s just surfaced online.
The Swoosh has achieved a miracle, capturing the entire BBQ father attire in one fell swoop. Sporting the go-to faded denim color of choice from dads of the Mid West, the pair is complemented by red stitching and tags, al-la Levi’s, khaki (cargo-shorts) accents, Navy Blue trim (polo shirt) and a stark white midsole — typically the color of the Monarch worn by Mr. man-the-grill.
Amazing.
The insole, however, gives a little vacation mood, while the embroidered floral heel detailing make these feel right at home with one Billy Ray Cyrus. I can really only see my dad in these “jiving” to Old Town Road. And that’s a vision I can’t unsee.
