Nike Air More Uptempo “Basketball” Arrives November 9

Though the silhouette is known to search far and wide for colorway inspiration, the Nike Air More Uptempo always comes back to its basketball roots. Be it “I Got Next” or “Nike Hoops” collections — or simply a Bulls-themed colorway — Scottie Pippens’ legendary Nike is deeply engrained in hardwood heritage. Its newest colorway, the Nike Air More Uptempo “Basketball” — takes a literal approach to the game, as it dresses the signature AIR lettering in colors and textures of the rock.
Aside from the titular ball’s influence, the pair is fairly straightforward; that is, the pair arrives entirely in off-white colors, from the perforated leather uppers to the entirety of the sole unit. Providing the pair’s only contrasting colors are the famed “AIR” letter overlays in the titular orange textured leather (though it features spots more aligned with a Safari print) and solid black underlays that mimic the rubber joins in the ball. Complimenting that is a solid black jewel Swoosh in the rear to complete the design.
