The Nike Air More Uptempo will return this Fall, and it will be bringing with it a brand-new “Black Multi-Color” scheme cemented in the silhouette’s mid-90s roots.
No, it’s not another Bulls-themed release; instead, the pair looks to employ striking purple, pink and yellow accents against a staple black and white base — a signature styling of the era. Be it the interior decor of McDonald’s or the title cues from Rocco’s Modern Life, this kind of combination ran rife through the early and mid-1990s; and now it finds a home on 1996’s marquee Nike Basketball model.
Returning to its roots of black nubuck through its upper, a simple white midsole, and black rubber outsole, the color pops are left for the remaining accents; Pink and purple letter overlays and tongue tags are surrounded by bright yellow pulls, rear jewel, and forefoot embroidered Swooshes, as well as the stowed Air supports. Lastly, the midsole and outsole brand marks return to pink and purple to complete the design.
