27 years on from its initial release, the Nike Air More Uptempo is living its best life. From rumors of OG retros to the unexpected slide iteration — and the new AMBUSH collaboration — the Wilson Smith III-designed sneaker has got a new lease on life. A big part of the resurgence, though, is the silhouette’s in-line releases, of which have been arriving steadily throughout the year. It’s next, the Nike Air More Uptempo “Buff Gold,” has just appeared, and it’s expected to release soon.

Working in just three colors, the pair leans mostly on the titular wheat-gold hue as it covers the leather upper, mesh tongues, and AIR letter overlays. The latter is trimmed with an elegant “Bronzine,” so too is the midsole badge and oversized outsole Swoosh. Lastly, whites are worked in, mainly on the sole unit, but also on the heel and toe Swoosh insignia.
