The Nike Air More Uptempo Dons Double-Denim Duds

Aside from those north of the border, the Canadian Tuxedo, or as some call it in Australia, Double Denim, seems an exclusive of the 90s era, where boy bands, rapers and even my dad would go indigo on indigo. It’s only fitting that arguably the most 90s Nike sneaker ever will be donning the double denim duds, with this Nike Air More Uptempo “Denim” set to arrive next month.

Its base layer arrives in “Ocean Fog” — your more traditional colored denim — and its AIR lettering and toecap overlay rock a more 90s rap scene “Blackened Blue”. The latter looks to be inverted at the tongue tab, heel panel, and toe, and accents are ushered in in crisp white, with the laces, pulls, AIR underlays and sole unit all under that umbrella. Completing the design is vivid flashes of Total Orange on the tongue Swoosh, insole print, and underfoot branding.
