lowly picking up steam, Scottie Pippen’s Nike Air More Uptempo is appearing more and more frequently as we approach the beginning of the autumnal season. Having just appeared in a brand new scheme of Limestone and Valerian Blue, this new effort serves an icy opposite, with ghostly white-blue uppers and cool grey suede giving the colorway a chilly character.
From toe to tail, and across the tongues and pulls, bright white-blue resides. The tumbled leather upper is contrasted not only in color by the AIR overlays, but also in texture, with grey suedes sitting across the midfoot. From there, things take a turn, with sail midsoles and black rubber outsoles adding a vintage element, with white Swooshes underfoot, and a single splash of golden-yellow at the lateral heel Nike motif to match the insoles.
