Scottie Pippen’s Nike Air More Uptempo is one of the brand’s most recognizable trainers from the 1990s. It encapsulated the era of loud, gaudy, statement style with three simple letters. It’s been through the cycle a few times since it first touched down from special-edition releases to collaborations, but it always looks at home when it’s dressed in some sort of Bulls schematic. And this new Nike Air More Uptempo “Red Toe” does just that.
Expected to release in full-family sizing, this new twist on Pip’s iconic Air-riddles shoe sees a classic black nubuck upper joined by mesh tongues and leather tongue tips. AIR letter overlays arrive in black, too, but feature a red trim that marries up to the pulls and titular toe. The pair is then completed by a black and white sole unit.
An official release date for this new Nike Air More Uptempo “Red Toe” has not yet been identified, but we expect to hear more details soon.
