The Nike Air Structure Triax 91 Gets a Tropical Twist

We’ve had our fair share of releases for us this year already, yet we haven’t even reached the pinnacle month of March — Air Max Month. 2021. Although we haven’t seen a full size of the Nike Air Structure Triax 91 in a very long time, the 20-year-old design getting a rebirth this year, evoking memories for old heads and drawing in younger fans at the same time. This tropical-themed grade school-exclusive release will feed the latter generation, a sneaker that truly captures both the design language and color palettes of the era.

The predominately monochromatic palette of the new GS colorway delivers an upper comprised of mesh, leather, and suede which results in a textural delight and an expertly constructed shoe. Tonal greys lay the foundations for the upper which creates superb contrasts for the black tongue, heel, and unmissable swoosh. Underfoot heralds a crowd-pleasing white cement midsole unit with accompanying an infrared frame surrounding the Air cushioning window and continues to create a unique footprint underneath in the black rubber outsole. Completing the look and providing some hue variations in the blue lace stays, orange and blue tongue branding, and subtle pink heel branding to complete an overall South Beach-like feel.

No official Nike.com release date is listed for this GS-exclusive yet, but it’s expected soon. Check out the detailed pics below and follow HOUSE OF HEAT on Twitter for all news and updates.
