It’s Back! The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 “Black Lava” Returns on March 6th
Last May we saw LeBron’s 16th signature sneaker take on two ‘Hot Lava’ colorways of Andre Agassi’s Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 — and with it came an OG retro of the pack’s white pair. A release for the ‘Black Lava’ edition evaded us, and by the time Winter rolled around, we had come to terms that it probably wasn’t going to happen. But after a sneak preview from Don C earlier in the week and now an official image set for the pair — it’s safe to say that it’s finally happening.
Back on board after a four-year absence, the 2020’s reissue of the ‘Black Lava’ Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 looks to be arriving in all of its original glory. Repping the same black leather, mesh, and perforations as the OG, with bold ‘Hot Lava’ hits found on the profile swoosh and splashed graphics near the medial and lateral foxing. “Nike Air” rests embroidered on the heel counter with tongues sporting a vintage-esque patch, and the pair comes complete with its iconic and bold overlays in white and cement grey plastics.
Take in an official look at Andre Agassi’s OG below, and look out for the ‘Black Lava’ Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 retro to touch down on March 6th at select stockists and Nike.com. More details on the pair’s release will follow in the coming days, so make sure you keep your eyes glued to our Twitter Feedfor further updates!
