The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 "Hot Lava" Releases August 30

Nike has rekindled the flames of its golden era of tennis, echoing through the halls of nostalgia with the revival of hallmark silhouettes like the Mac Attack and Air Trainer 1 — and even the controversial Courtposite, courtesy of Supreme. But that's not all that Nike has in store, with another titan from the archives set to return in 2024: the Andre Agassi-endorsed Air Tech Challenge 2.

Last seen gracing the shelves in 2016, the Air Tech Challenge 2 is no stranger to the limelight, having made its debut amidst the effervescent creativity of Nike's designs from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. Known for its audacious style, synonymous with Agassi's striking presence on the courts, the model encapsulated the spirit of a generation, blurring the lines between athletic performance and cultural expression.

2024's re-release will see the pair go under a neo-vintage wash, with pre-aged accents giving the pair a reimagined aesthetic to align with market trends.
