We’ve sure missed seeing the vibrance of the Nike VaporMax Plus. The silhouette has been missing for a fair chunk of 2020 but has recently made a triumphant return by-way-of an elegant Black/Metallic Gold make, and a reissue of the OG “Triple Black”. The other options that followed were also on the tamer side, reminding us that it’s not only the silhouette that we’ve missed but their audacious colorways, too. Well, Nike has answered our prayers, delivering us a punchy hot pink number for the early months of the new year.
Taking on a relatively simple blocking, the pair is equipped with a completely tonal take above the sole unit — save the tongue and heel branding. A traditional white at the midsole piece keeps this modern design feeling a touch traditional before it’s all brought back to the future through its fully-translucent, bare-Air VaporMax sole unit. Completing the design is a pink and white gradient midfoot shank, and hot pink traction pads underfoot.
