The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon wasn't completely irrelevant before the last six months, but Christian Tresser's design from 1997 has been a focus of the brand in that time span. Having already landed in its original 'Metallic Silver/Sport Red/Black' look, the old school running model is set to return in its inaugural 'Signal Blue' style as well.

Part of Nike's "Cult Classics" initiative, which has revived a number of beloved sneakers from the last 25 years, the Air Zoom Spiridon 'Signal Blue' is just the latest offering to return in true-to-OG-form. The sneaker's 'Light Concord' colorway is also expected to re-release for the first time in 28 years (if you don't count the similarly-colored Zoom Don from 2010). The titular tone animates the mesh layer that wraps around the upper, and also appears via the Air Max 95-reminiscent lace loops. Mudguards keep things understated, making way for the vibrant red minature swoosh miniature at the forefoot to shine.

Elsewhere, 'Metallic Luster' accents are plentiful on Tresser's robust performance design from the late '90s. The peculiar, Zoom Air-assisted sole unit underfoot abandons the 'Signal Blue' hue in favor of a mostly-two-tone 'White/Black' combination. The responsive Zoom Air unit found across the outsole deviates in more ruby flair.

A stateside Nike SNKRS launch is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 13, for $160. While you wait, enjoy official photos of the cult classic below.
