The Nike Astra Ultra Appears in Two Gum-Soled Options

Nike is expanding its Astra Ultra lineup with two new fall-ready options in “Sail” and “Burgundy Crush.” Following the silhouette’s debut in an all-black finish earlier this year, these latest additions offer a more tonal take on the sculptural design, continuing the model’s push into the lifestyle-meets-performance category.

As with the original release, both pairs maintain the Astra Ultra’s futuristic, foam-molded construction with wavy contours that evoke designs like the Foamposite and Zoom Flight 95. The “Sail” version opts for a clean, neutral finish with an off-white upper and gum sole, while the “Burgundy Crush” pair takes a richer approach with deep wine tones contrasted by the same textured gum outsole.

Both pairs feature a low-profile slip-on fit, minimal lace overlays, and exaggerated heel curves contributing to the silhouette’s bold, fashion-forward stance. Metallic silver Swooshes on the forefoot and embroidered tongue logos round out the simple branding scheme, letting the form and finish do most of the talking.

Still without an official release date, these Nike Astra Ultra colorways are expected to land overseas as early as July. This will continue Nike’s strategy of challenging Adidas’ hold on the terrace-inspired lifestyle market with more avant-garde alternatives.

Expect pairs to begin arriving in select international regions this Fall via Nike.com, with multiple colorways to follow.
