Outside of Nike’s Space Hippie lineage, there’s been no better advocate for their sustainability efforts than the humble Blazer. Frequently equipped with recyclable materials or grind rubber sole units, the retro hoops model even birthed the year’s two biggest sustainable collaborations from READYMADE. Now it appeared in a completely new way, with this Nike Blazer Mid “Move to Zero” serving up a slew of sustainable finishes and features new to the silhouette.
This, the second colorway to surface arrive in mush the same styling as the first, with uppers distinctively split into two parts; the forward half opts for a hardened textile in beige, while the rear works in translucent sheaths that show two-toned exposed foams below. More of the beige textile hits the heel and eyestays, with tonal, perforated overlays (likely recycled, too) hitting the forefoot and toe. Swooshes arrive in a deep green tumbled leather finish, while grind rubber returns again to the outsole tread. It’s midsole wrap rocks green-tinted translucent rubber, and the pair is completed by signature Move to Zero callouts, with neon and insoles and Pinwheel logos at the heel. complete the design.
