Outside of Nike’s Space Hippie lineage, there’s been no better advocate for their sustainability efforts than the humble Blazer. Frequently equipped with recyclable materials or grind rubber sole units, the retro hoops model even birthed the year’s two biggest sustainable collaborations from READYMADE. Now it appeared in a completely new way, with this Nike Blazer Mid “Move to Zero” serving up a slew of sustainable finishes and features new to the silhouette.
Split distinctively into two parts at the upper, the forward half opts for a hardened textile in Armory Navy, while the rear works in translucent sheaths that show exposed foams below. More of the navy textile hits the heel and eyestays, with white overlays (likely recycled, too) hitting the forefoot and Swoosh. Grind rubber again returns to the outsole treat, while its midsole wrap rocks green-tinted translucent rubber. Signature Move to Zero callouts arrive on cue, with neon stitching and insoles arriving alongside Pinwheel logos at the heel to complete the design.
