Devin Booker’s long-teased “Safari” edition of the Nike Book 1 is finally getting a retail release. Originally seen during Phoenix Suns media day last year, the bold rendition is now confirmed to drop via Nike channels.

Staying true to the design ethos of Booker’s signature line, the Book 1 “Air Safari” pays homage to the iconic Nike Air Safari from 1987. The model features a similar wild print on the overlays, combined with orange leather toe caps, black leather side panels, and a tonal safari-style heel pull tab. Booker’s name appears on the tongue in gold, matching the lining for a clean contrast.
A sharp embroidered Swoosh runs along the black leather midfoot, outlined in white to stand out against the textured animal print and black detailing. A white midsole and black rubber outsole keep the design grounded while tying it back to its roots in classic Nike heritage.
With Booker’s appreciation for storytelling and understated luxury, this release taps into both nostalgic and performance realms. From courtside to lifestyle, the “Air Safari” edition fits right in with the rest of the Book 1 line.
Although a State side release is not clear, we will see the pair drop via Nike.com and select retailers this Fall season.
