Another day, another edition of the Nike Book 1 to debut on the NBA hardwood.
Laced up last night in a loss against the Los Angeles Lakers, Devin Booker's first signature model appeared in one of its wildest makeovers yet. Dubbed 'Son of Moss Point' in honor of he and his father's high school in Mississippi. While not the first Player-Exclusive (PE) to surface in honor of his alma mater, the latest features tiger stripe patterns across the entirety of the shoe's upper. The orange-and-black color scheme doesn't look too out-of-place when paired with the Phoenix Suns uniform, but it draws inspiration from Moss Point High School's mascot. Coincidentally, Booker's father, Melvin, played for the Missouri Tigers in the early 1990s. The Suns guard also follows the Detroit Tigers MLB team, drawing another through-line to the 'Son of Moss Point' makeover.
It's unsure whether or not the special edition Book 1 will see a Nike.com release. In the meantime, enjoy detailed shots of the pair below—courtesy of the NBA team's Instagram account.
