The Nike Cortez Returns in Classic Black and White

Outside of an exceptional collaboration with Sacai, the Nike Cortez didn’t quite reach its full potential in 2022 during its 50th-anniversary celebration, perhaps partially due to logistical setbacks. However, this year’s CLOT x Nike Cortez collection appears to be the driving force, as a wave of general releases is about to unfold. Among those is this new black and white Nike Cortez, which marks a return to the classic nylon construction.

The elegantly-blocked release features jet-black nylon uppers and tonal, muted suede sitting atop its overlays. Tongues, laces, and liners follow suit, allowing the bright whites of the leather Swoosh overlays and sole units to create eye-catching contrast visuals. A solid streak of black adorns the iconic heel wedge, with chrome dubraes and classic Nike embroidery at the rear completing the design.

This classic nylon-equipped Cortez is now confirmed for release on Nike.com on August 3rd, 2023.
