Eastern influence is running rampant through the Nike Cortez this season, from a trio of CLOT collaborations to a "Bruce Lee" GR colorway. The latter is likely informed by the former, and this too, leans on Edison Chen's collaborative touch, bringing in a split-blocked, shroud-covered colorway that harps on the duality of life.
Aside from the avant-garde blocking and overzealous zipper shrouds, the pair is fairly straightforward. It's a simple tumbled leather construct, with white on the lateral side and toe and black on the medial. Swooshes and heel overlays are split, served in an alternate hue to which it rests, both featuring contrast stitching; even the mini Swooshes at the forward showcase this negative approach. Removable shroud overlays further the theme — as too does the two-tone dubrae stowed within. All of this comes together on a simple white and black sole unit to complete the design.
