The Second Nike DNA Series 87 x 91 Crossover Pack Releases Next Week!

Nike has never been afraid to Tinker with their classics. Their latest crossover has seen the Beaverton-based brand tweak two of Mr. Hatfield’s most important and significant sneaker creations, the Air Max 1 and the Huarache, with each pair wearing the other’s OG colorways. The debut University Red/Scream Green pack hit retailers throughout Asia last July, and will finally see a Stateside release this month— but before we even get there, a second Nike DNA 87 x 91 Crossover Pack has appeared, this time honoring the OG Sport Royal Air Max 1 and OG Purple Punch Hurarche

Both designed by sneaker God Tinker Hatfield, the Air Max 1 and Air Huarache once again swap OG colorways, materials and outsole blockings for two homage-riddled releases. The Air Max 1 arrives in the Huarache’s “Purple Punch” colorway, complete with neoprene underlays, tongues, liners, and toe boxes, and plastic heel clip overlays. The Huarache honors the OG Air Max 1 “Royal” by utilizing a white mesh toe box, overlayed by red suede, as well as grey nubuck midfoot overlays and Air Max 1-blocked outsole.

Take a peep at both sneakers in detail below, and expect these to also arrive with special-edition packaging and other cross-branded goodies like socks, printed materials and more.
