Nike is Revisiting Ghosts of Samples Past with their New Drop Type LX

All-New from Nike:

If the All Court and Blazer had a love child, this would be it; Nike’s new Drop Type LX. Featuring key components of the two aforementioned Swoosh classics, the decon-reconstructed silhouette bangs out a few more notable sample embellishments from years gone by, including insoles from the Air Mowabb sample, seemingly ripped straight out of the Nike vault, as well as oversized, double-thick exposed foam tongues, nubuck overlays, and buttery heel leathers, across a mostly neutral palette. Mini Swooshes, which come classicly embossed on the forefoot are juxtaposed against the denotative numbered and scribbled motifs seen just under the lateral lacestay — a theme that’s carried over to the special edition boxing.

Pairs are slated to arrive at select Swoosh stockists on July 1st, with a list of retailers to be revealed over the coming weeks. Until updates arrive, enjoy a first look at the on-trend sneaker below, and be sure to log a release reminder for the drop via our Nike Release Dates page.
