Satin seems to be the textile of choice this spring, with the season proffering a slew of silhouettes dressed in the glossy material. From the Air Force 1 to the Air Max 97, Nike has now moved on to the Dunk High, with this new Nike Dunk High Satin “Monarch” borrowing a classic CO.JP colorway from 1999.
Save the curried nylon tongue and inverted tongue tags; the pair boasts a one-for-one replication of the legendary Japanese-exclusive “Dark Curry” Dunk Low from late last century. Here, though, there’s an obvious uplift in the pair’s height, as well as a material interchange on the overlays, with the titular satin textile dressing the pair’s overlays. A smooth white leather base resides below, with leather Swooshes and two-tone sole units sitting underfoot to complete the design.
Though there is no concrete information on the pair’s release, the sample is slated to turn into a retail release in Spring 2023. As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates, and until then, enjoy a first look at the pair here below, courtesy of sources close to House of Heat.
