Nike’s journey towards a zero-carbon and waste future will be given another push forward this November with a first-of-its-kind series of sustainable Nike Dunks. The two pairs — a High and a Low — form part of the upcoming “Toasty” Pack, an insulated collection that is made with at least 20% recycled materials by weight and looks to earthy hues to solidify the message.
The first high top to surface features the same ribbed and quilted nylon upper and cosy liners as the previously-sighted Air Force 1s and Dunk Lows, here opting for clean whites with accompanying organic hues of Oil Green, Rattan, and Chocolate. Jet black Checks are met in the rear by a quick flash of red, a color that reappears only at the Toasty-branded insole tags that highlight the pair’s insulating capabilities. Recycled materials run rampant through the sole units, with grind rubber flecked through white and gum sole units — a finish highlighted by Nike’s Move to Zero Pinwheel branding at the tongue.
