Despite all the attention being paid to the 40th anniversary of Michael Jordan's debut signature model, the near-identical Nike Dunk Low is also celebrating four decades since its debut.

Over the past half-year, the classic design (also by Peter Moore) has taken on a variety of makeovers. Several original and newer, beloved ensembles have emerged to commemorate the occasion. Refreshing, all-new looks also keep surfacing, and will soon include a "Black/Anthracite/Metallic Dark Grey" option.

Constructed with suede and leather, the upper favors a stealthy aesthetic that coincides with other Nike, Inc. products prepped for the second-half of the year. The two darkest tones divvy up real estate from toe to lower heel, while a shimmering "Metallic Dark Grey" interrupts the pitch-dark makeup via profile swooshes and Achilles' heel overlays. The Air Jordan 1-like sole unit, however, reverts to a muted presentation, allowing for the silver-reminiscent hue to revel in the spotlight.

Firm Nike.com release details haven't been disclosed by the brand as of yet, but that's expected to change by September. In the meantime, enjoy official photos of the pair ahead.
