A Second Nike Dunk Low “Bright Side” Surfaces in Grey and Blue

Though the past 18 months have been rife with Nike Dunk drops, not many of those have ventured outside of their staple two-tone, leather constructs. On occasion, the silhouette has surfaced for marquee collections (like N7 and Chinese New Year) as well as a handful of themed collections. Joining the silhouette’s enormous catalog is this new Nike Dunk Low “Bright Side” — this being the second Dunk colorway in the extensive Nike Sportswear series.

Though the positive-themed pack’s official influence is yet to be identified, a first look at the collection’s Nike Dunk Low shows a hint of Eastern influence, as well as the presence of recycled materials. The latter is evident in the Grind Rubber-flecked gum outsole and is likely present throughout the upper’s construction. Asian influence comes through at the embroidered finishes, namely the lateral ankle detail complete with loose hanging thread. Contrary to the first-revealed, earthy release, this follow-up colorway looks to cool grey hues, perhaps nodding the earth’s opposing ocean, as it works with sea greens, and ocean and sky blues, too. There’s also a slew of fine details, including organically-shaped embroidery and overlays, and a Tom Sach’s-like hand-drawn finishes applied to the insoles.

Though a release date for this Grey/Blue Nike Dunk Low “Bright Side” is not yet known, it is expected to arrive in the early months of 2022 alongside a handful of other like-themed releases.
