In recent times, Nike has sought to remember their turn-of-the-Century CO.JP colorways, releasing them globally for the first time. From rare “Ugly Duckling” Dunks to the Air Jordan 1 High OG, fans outside of Japan have been able to experience these once-exclusives for the very first time. Now it looks to something borrowed yet something new, with this new Nike Dunk Low CO.JP for 2023 drawing of a handful of classics from the early 2000s.
Earthy snakeskin uppers are a staple of CO.JP drops, and here it returns stowed beneath rough and smooth brown leather overlays, and reptilian-textured black Swooshes. There is more black on the pair’s leather liners, laces, and tongue tags — the latter reading Nike Air in red, which, when combined with the surrounding featured, resembles the famous “Escape Pack” from 2005. All of this then rests atop a sail and brown rubber sole unit underfoot.
Though a release date for this all-new Nike Dunk Low CO.JP (2023) is not yet known, it is expected soon. Until more details emerge, you can enjoy a very first look at the pair here below, courtesy of @masterchefian— and now some fresh looks from @prvt.selection
