The Nike Dunk Low has been quietly celebrating its 40th anniversary all year. Ahead of summer, the silhouette has emerged in two fall-friendly styles complete with playful, detachable charms.
While not a first for the old school Nike Basketball offering designed by Peter Moore, cherry and Nike Face-shaped charms appear alongside muted "Desert Ochre" and "Particle Pink" tones. The clash of understated and vibrant finishes differs from previous releases, but still works. Both Dunks keep things traditional in terms of color-blocking, featuring shades of off-white across their bases. Panels overlaid atop, then, favor the aforementioned colors.
The latest take on the Air Jordan 1 Low-like model includes several metallic attachments on the laces between right and left shoes. Most charms take after Nike branding, but a cherry-shaped one evokes images of summer with its bold red-and-green presentation.
Enjoy official photos of the seasonal Dunks ahead. Pairs are expected to release via Nike.com and other retailers as autumn gets going.
