Not only has Nike experimented with alternate silhouettes like the “Disrupt” and newcomer “Twist” Dunk designs, but they have also looked at implementing — on occasion — tweaks to the original design devised by Peter Moore. This new effort is one such release, as it explores both a range of materials as well as slight modifications to its design.
Anchored in a crisp white canvas, the pair leans on leather overlays of cream and beige hues in smooth and tumbled leather — Swooshes sit at the midfoot in tonal white. Toes are split into new sectioning, while a baseball-field-like tongue tag is tacked on with vibrant orange thread to match the rear branding and needlework. Stowed within is a whimsical graphic insole, as it asks one to return the sneakers to 1 Bowerman Drive, OR, if lost — as if that would ever happen. A classy sail and light gum rubber sole unit, then complete the design.
A release date for this new Nike Dunk Low has just been confirmed for May 25th on Nike.com, with pairs set to hit the site from 10:00 am ET.
