'Pink Rise' Swooshes and 'Light Smoke Grey' Panels Land on the Nike Dunk Low

Peter Moore's Nike Dunk Low continues to play an important role in the brand's bottom line. Additionally, the old school basketball silhouette has been pivotal in the Swoosh's eco-friendly initiatives – namely the Next Nature line.

At the tail-end of the 2010s, Nike, Inc. announced plans to reduce its carbon footprint and establish more eco-conscious practices. Product lines like the Nike Space Hippie delivered upcycled construction in innovative, stylish packages. This particular series has gone stale over the last few years, but the Dunk has emerged in countless makeovers partly rooted in these eco-friendly processes.

Recently, the Next Nature collection has offered looks at a sneaker covered in 'Light Smoke Grey/Pale Ivory/Pink Rise.' Akin to other ensembles to land on Moore's 40-year-old design, the latest sees panels across the upper indulge in a two-tone color-blocking that brings a darker tone to its overlays. Profile swooshes and branding on the tongue label and heel, however, deviate from their drab surroundings in a eye-catching 'Pink Rise.' The rosy shade injects a touch of summer into the otherwise muted option. Underfoot, sole units boast a speckling that denotes the midsole and outsole's upcycled manufacturing process.

A firm Nike.com release date hasn't been disclosed by the brand as of yet, but pairs of the Women's Dunk Low should arrive by May. Expect the 'Light Smoke Grey/Pink Rise/Pale Ivory' style to retail for $115.
