Aside from running up every Panda colorway imaginable, there's nothing more in vogue for Nike than the aged-look aesthetic. And again, Nike revisits this old-but-new trend by introducing it to another colorway of the Dunk Low silhouette.
The upcoming Nike Dunk Low takes inspiration from the past, incorporating familiar yellowed soles and worn-in leather uppers. However, what truly sets these sneakers apart is the introduction of deteriorating leather material on the ankle collar. This deliberate design choice evokes the look of vintage kicks found in attics and yard sales the world over. The result is a Dunk Low that carries a sense of history and authenticity as if it has been worn and cherished for decades.
While the navy/yellow colorway may evoke memories of Michigan, it's important to note that the color-blocking on this pair differs significantly from the original Be True creation from the 1980s.
