First Looks // Nike Dunk Scrap “Archeo Brown”
Nike has achieved an unrivaled era for the Nike Dunk, with — literally — every single release, be it SB or GR, a sell-out. Though not everybody’s cup of tea, this new Nike Dunk Scrap “Archeo Brown” will likely achieve the same fate. Though not confirmed, it appears that the pair has utilized off-cuts, recycled fibred mesh, and more — and given the brand’s recent push on sustainably made sneakers, it wouldn’t be too far of a reach to imagine otherwise.
The first of many colorways to come, the first to surface is this option in a myriad of brown, green, orange, olive, yellow and purple pieces, with uppers of mesh met by a barrage of angular-cut overlays. The seemingly random placements somewhat form the original lines, while sundry selections arrive almost everywhere, from half toe caps to double-layering on the eyestays, heel, and forefoot — even the Swooshes arrive double-layered. Not much has changed underfoot, with a simple white and gum sole unit juxtaposed to the audacious arrangement above.
A release date for this all-new Nike Dunk Scrap “Archeo Brown” has not yet been set, but with factory images of pairs surfacing now, one would expect to see a release hit select Swoosh stockists and Nike.com this Fall. Grab a first look at the pair here below, and with more details to follow, you’ll want to make sure that you’re tuned into our official Twitter account for updates.
