Nike Basketball officially unveiled its next-generation silhouette—the Nike GT Cut 4—during the WNBA All-Star Weekend, and it made its on-court debut courtesy of Paige Bueckers during a practice session.
Set to launch in January 2026, the new model builds upon the success of the GT Cut line with a futuristic design language and performance-led innovations. The pair spotted on Bueckers features a striking iridescent upper that shifts between aqua and violet tones, balanced by Persian Violet laces and interior padding. Aggressive ridges wrap the lateral and medial sides of the shoe, creating a sculpted visual identity that’s both aerodynamic and bold. A refined mini Swoosh sits low along the midsole, and a partially translucent outsole provides grip underfoot.
While the design alone signals evolution, Nike has also revealed technical updates under the hood. The GT Cut 4 introduces a ZoomX 3.0 midsole paired with a parabolic Zoom Strobel unit, working alongside RBR-X foam and a Cushlon carrier for improved stability, comfort, and propulsion. The new configuration, Nike says, offers its most responsive cushioning yet, engineered for athletes who rely on agility and speed on both sides of the ball. A generative traction pattern enhances grip and control during quick directional changes, while the low-profile fit is optimized through a 3D-molded collar, molded vamp tongue, and exoskeleton-casted upper for multidirectional support.
As one of Nike’s flagship models for guards, the GT Cut line continues to be worn by top athletes across both the NBA and WNBA. With Bueckers debuting the pair in Las Vegas and Nike unveiling it again at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, the brand is clearly positioning the GT Cut 4 as its next major innovation in performance footwear.
The Nike GT Cut 4 is expected to release in January 2026 via Nike.com and select retailers worldwide. Stay tuned for more details, including pricing and upcoming colorways.
