The ISPA line of sneakers for Nike has always been one to push the boundaries of what’s “allowed” — actually, it’s just straight-up ignored them, and this all-new Nike ISPA Flow is a testament to that. Drawing inspiration from out-of-the-box sources which lead us to believe these shoes were concocted in lab rather than a design studio, the use of unusual materials in such a way that it results in a shock to the senses.

This latest experiment, which caters more towards runners, still rocks an incredible streetwear appeal thanks to a subtle color palette and overt design ethos. Composed of textiles including mesh and intricate stitchings of synthetics the overall build is highly detailed and well-executed. From the heel to the toebox and then returning to the heel again we see a wavy stitchline line that adjoins the upper panels together, all the while giving off an illusion organic shape. Joining that are black ventilated mesh panels on the medial, lateral and heel ensures optimal air-flow and creates a unique sneaker composition. Lace eyelets are loops on one side of the shoe and alternatively speed-lace hooks on the other that’s usually only seen on hiking boots. At the bedrock of this unorthodox sneaker is a React sole unit that will provide high-end performance and comfort. The entire build color palette is comprised of subtle tonal hues of volt green, beige and grey with the only offerings of contrast being in the black ISPA branded laces and ventilation as previously discussed
