Ja Morant’s second signature sneaker has hit the ground running. After a stellar debut, a series of exciting colorways, and the unveiling of a link-up with Swarovski, the model is now set to take a sugary turn with its second-ever collaboration: a partnership with Kool-Aid.
The Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2 features a mismatched gradient design inspired by two of the brand’s most iconic flavors. The left sneaker channels the vibrant blue hues of Blue Raspberry Kool-Aid, transitioning from light blue at the toe to dark black near the collar and heel. On the right shoe, Cherry Red starts at the toe and fades into orange toward the heel, evoking the brand’s classic Cherry flavor.
Details pay direct homage to Kool-Aid’s unmistakable branding. The tongue features the Kool-Aid Man in his iconic pose, breaking through a wall, while his famous catchphrase, “Ohhh Yeah!,” is printed on the reverse side. Cracks in the wall are etched into the lateral midfoot, further tying the design to the drink’s playful personality.
The sneaker’s lateral and medial profiles are adorned with splatter paint details and a knit-like texture, complemented by black Swooshes. The quilted heel counter hosts condensation-like drops alongside Ja Morant’s “12 AM” text, styled in Kool-Aid’s signature font. Rounding out the design is a white foam midsole with splatter detailing and a glow-in-the-dark outsole for added flair.
The Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2 is slated to release in May 2025.
