While Ja Morant has built a reputation for leaking his own signature sneakers on social media, this latest Nike Ja 2 colorway has appeared without a co-sign from the man himself — and it might be the cleanest yet. Dressed in what appears to be a Murray State-inspired theme, this new Ja 2 pays tribute to Ja’s college days with classic color cues and a varsity-style flair.
Anchored by a crisp all-white upper, the pair keeps things understated and polished, letting minor hits of contrast do the heavy lifting. A gold-to-white gradient Swoosh on the midsole adds a sleek visual shift, while navy accents appear on the liner, medial Swoosh, and outsole. The standout detail, however, is the navy chenille Swoosh on the profile — outlined in gold and styled like a varsity jacket patch, it locks in the collegiate motif with texture and nostalgia.
Though not officially labelled “Murray State,” the combination of gold, white, and navy clearly reveals the inspiration. It’s a subtle tribute to where Ja’s rise to stardom began, wrapped in a design that feels both personal and universal.
Nike has slated the release for Summer 2025, but has not yet provided specific details. Stay tuned to Nike.com and our Nike Release Dates Calendar for official word as the launch approaches.
