With a nod to his early days in the Pacific Northwest, Nike is releasing the KD 18 “Rain City” — a stealthy new colorway paying tribute to Kevin Durant’s time with the Seattle SuperSonics. The pair will hit retailers on July 18 for $155.
The upper features a moody charcoal and black base, brought to life with vibrant yellow piping across the TPU cable overlays and Swoosh branding. The mixed material build includes breathable mesh, textured leather heel panels, and synthetic mudguards, delivering a balance of support and movement. A custom insole graphic nods to Durant’s lightning-fast game, while the heel collar is embroidered with “6.28.07” — the date he was drafted by Seattle.
Tech-wise, the KD 18 continues with full-length Zoom Air Strobel cushioning and a low-cut build built for agility and energy return on the court.
The Nike KD 18 “Rain City” is set to release July 18 via Nike.com and select retailers for $155.
