The holiday season and Kobe Bryant sneakers have always been intertwined, with Nike regularly dropping festive-themed colorways tied to Christmas Day matchups. For Holiday 2025, Nike Basketball is bringing back one of the most recognizable pairs from the series: the Nike Kobe 3 “Christmas.”
Originally worn by Bryant on court in December 2008, the Kobe 3 “Christmas” was a bold departure in design, showcasing the model’s unique web-like upper dressed in a bright blue base with icy accents. For 2025, the colorway returns in Protro form, modernized with updated cushioning and construction to meet today’s performance standards. The upper features its signature translucent cage overlay, now sitting atop a Zoom Air-loaded midsole and improved traction system for increased responsiveness on the hardwood.
The pair balances festive flair with icy cool tones, highlighted by a mix of glacier blue mesh and iridescent detailing across the Swoosh and tongue logo. A frosted outsole completes the look, tying into the wintry theme that made this edition a standout during its original release.
The Nike Kobe 3 “Christmas” Protro is expected to release during Holiday 2025 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
Stay tuned for first looks in the coming months, and keep an eye on our Nike Release Dates page for updates.
In other Mamba news, the Nike Kobe 8 “What The” is set to return for Kobe Day 2025.
