Nike Basketball continues to deliver a healthy mix of modern performance footwear and lifestyle-adapted nostalgia from yesteryear. The late Kobe Bryant's signature series, however, has been blending both worlds through the Proto (Performance Retro) initiative. Ahead of what would've been the Los Angeles Lakers legend's 47th birthday, the Swoosh and Vanessa Bryant unveiled the Kobe 3 Protro Low, the first time the third Nike Kobe model has been offered as a low-top.
As with the ongoing "Halo" series, the silhouette appeared in an all-"White' color scheme. According to Romania's Sneaker Market, however, the Protro Low is expected in at least three other makeovers during the Spring and Summer 2026 seasons. Color choices from Nike Basketball include "White/Metallic Gold," "Igloo/Green Foam," and "Doll/Pink Foam," delivering a varied palette for those looking to rock Bryant's footwear on-court or sidewalk.
It's possible that the aforementioned pairs and any subsequent Kobe sneaker launches alongside matching apparel. Throughout the last nine months, numerous color-coded collections have accompanied footwear projects, helping the Swoosh and Vanessa keep the "Black Mamba" legacy alive.
Stay tuned for firm Nike.com release details and detailed shots of all pairs.
